Hello Everyone!

It's Thursday, which means steak day! haha

Still the same old, same old for me. Feel amazing. Light. Enjoying Nutrafarms Grass Fed Beef on the daily.

Is Carnivore easy? No. Do your old food cravings come back? Do you feel like cheating and having some old favourite treats? Yes, but I will say that once you can get past the peak addictions/cravings in the first few weeks its so much easier. Once the cravings are gone, its really just your conscious thoughts and those decisions that can derail you. Have you ever just visited a store and got something on impulse like ice cream? Its those conscious decisions that still linger. They are almost mechanical and made without thought, ingrained. I can't tell you how many times I ate something because I was just "in the area", or it was convenient. "Yum, I might as well get one of those those since I'm here...", I'd tell myself.

Tools Are Key

The solution to cravings is to have tools in place when they appear. The tools I have in place for W.C.M. are pretty simple; I just eat more steaks, and I don't buy or keep garbage food around me in my kitchen! Before World Carnivore Month, I would snack on pineapple during the day which really helped with my carb-step-down approach and my sugar cravings. I will also say that a carb-step-down approach is really just a fancy way to say "battle with your food cravings/addictions approach", ;). Having the correct tools in place are key to fighting this battle. The cravings will be there. Being prepared is how you win.

The First Meal Today

One of the reasons this Carnivore choice is so easy is due to the support and resources available about the diet itself. No one seems to be selling their products or knowledge with a price tag attached. Even myself, I encourage you all to do Carnivore, doesn't have to be Nutrafarms products, can be any local grass fed (recommended) farm! I found that if someone has insight or a product for this lifestyle, they are already living the Carnivore Choice everyday and are just encouraging you to do the same.

Carnivore Diet Resources are great. There are many resources there if you ever have questions or concerns which include hundreds of peer reviewed studies. they also provide coaching which is great. Dr. Shawn Baker answers my DM's, which I admit, makes me feel awesome.  I find with The Carnivore Diet AKA Carnivore Choice, its so extreme and against everything we have been taught that people cant fathom the fact I JUST eat steak, everyday. They immediately assume or insist that I eat vegetables and fruits. I repeat it back to them, "I don't eat anything but steak, even for breakfast, no fruit or vegetables...ever". Because its so "Alien" to some and what we have been told for decades, there are many common fallacies and assumptions about The Carnivore Choice in regards to health and if its actually sustainable. This article for example, which is one of many, is about why Scurvy doesn't present itself for people who are on the Carnivore Diet, especially those Carnivores who are 20+ years living this lifestyle. Long story short but the USDA never tested for Vitamin C in Beef. Turns out there is more than enough vitamin C in beef. Conspiracy? I think NOT! We at Nutrafarms also get our products tested, check out our Pasture Chicken results.

Look at all that vitamin C, which was a surprise we might add, in Chicken. Yes, Chicken! Chad, our Chicken farmer, believes the Vitamin C in the meat comes from the Alfalfa in the fields. So yes, a fallacy, there are many. I encourage you to dig for yourself. Have some fun!

Who Eats Carnivore?

Many people you know have had exceptional success on this diet. First, lets talk about Jordan Peterson. Watch the video, listen to the autoimmune issues that have disappeared since he's been doing the Lion Diet. Oh, and wait till you hear what his daughter was going through, which autoimmune issues she had before she made the change to the same diet that also magically disappeared.

WARNING: The more you research about people making the choice to do Carnivore, the more you will hear stories that just seem unreal to you. They will sound too good to be true! Almost all Auto Immune Disorders, GONZO! What does this mean? Well, in my opinion, what you are eating today is probably creating your autoimmune issues of the future. Its that simple. Its all about inflammation.

So, it's January 26th. Carnivore month is almost over! 😥. In reality, no reason for me to be sad, I will continue this way. I won't lie, there are some moments of truth I'm going to reveal in future blogs about this experience. Some great learning experiences about myself and what I have control over. Some even about how I was actually not enjoying how much weight was coming off. Sounds nuts but its true. How did I handle it? Stay tuned! I wish you a beautiful Thursday, I'm going to play some hockey!

Have a fantastic day!

Disclosure: This blog is simply my own experience and opinions. I am not a doctor, nutritionist or hold a degree in anything related to biology/health sciences. I'm simply an objective learner who thinks critically, has great professional resources, and is EXTREMELY hypersensitive to my body and how it responds to certain foods/beverages. Also, The fact that I'm using Nutrafarms platforms to share this experience, my beneficial claims from Nutrafarms products are my own and not Nutrafarms claims. Industry opinions are also my own opinion and not a reflection of how Nutrafarms stands.  Nutrafarms was a no brainer for carnivore to me as I have been on these farms many times, I personally know the farmers and have been working with them for the past decade. I appreciate everything they do to be "different".
