Eating Carnivore During World Carnivore Month 2023 - What is the Carnivore Diet?

Written by Peter from Nutrafarms | Jan 20, 2023 8:55:46 PM

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are having a fantastic day!

TODAY: Right now its 2:30pm. I have not eaten yet. I am not hungry. Not sluggish, I have no need for an afternoon nap. I'm cooking my first steak which I'm excited to eat. I remember working remote for the first time in 2020. It started with baileys in my morning coffee in celebration for not having to be on the road as much for work. From there I removed the baileys and did my best with this new dynamic. My diet had always consisted of regular breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. I ate a bunch of bread and sweets, always. Unfortunately, being remote this now made breads, sugar cereals, Doritos, and other snacks only a few steps away at all times! I had no routine. Working long hours from morning until 10pm. Also, hard to focus some days. Jittery. I would feel sluggish. Bloated often. I remember I would get so tired around 12pm-1pm, it was a serious crash.  Many experience this crash. During these crashes many just normalize it like its just a part of life. Some of us like to deflect accountability, "im just busy, overworked", "I have kids", its "Single fatherism", etc. that makes us crash. The list goes on... Wrong, it was my, and is your food/drink choices that cause the crash. Understand, now I have unlimited energy. I'm clear. I don't crash. I work more and I'm less tired. I sleep better. I probably was an early diabetic knowing my families history. Not any more...

Someone was really helping me finish the grass fed and finished Ribeye! 👀 Little Booski! I don't blame her, they taste so good!

LET's GET DIRTY!

Today, let's talk about:

  • What is "The Carnivore Diet"
  • "Best practices" if you wanted to start incorporating more meat protein into your diet due to seeing how much success I'm having (plus I will be sharing many  success stories, peer reviewed studies, etc. going against many common fallacies).

What is the Carnivore Diet?

I have to admit, I don't enjoy the word "Diet", lets replace it with "Choice". The "D" word makes people feel its an all or nothing commitment. I recommend everyone to just make a few great choices today. You got this! Life, both the good and the bad is about the "choices" you make or have made. Especially your snack choices...hehee

Simply put, The Carnivore "Choice" 😁 is just eating meat (with salt), that's it. I
repeat, just meat. No fruit, no vegetables, no bread, no pasta, no cake, no ice cream.

Why do I JUST eat steak, preferably Ribeye's?

From the data I've been provide and the information from professionals, beef holds more nutrients than other meats. I also read a lot about how important fats are, i.e. ribeye's have that marble. Grass Fed Beef particularly has a better, more balanced ratio of all fats.

Sounds Expensive?

Keep in mind I eat nothing but beef so I'm not spending money on anything other than Ribeye's. No impulse buys at the gas station. No ice cream treats. No sides. Nothing. All of that money I'm not spending adds up! If steaks aren't in your budget, a lot of Carnivores just do ground beef. There are many supporting studies that suggest people digest the ground beef better while doing carnivore. My body feels great with just steaks so I don't need to use ground beef, although I do from time to time to mix it up.

What are some BEST Practices For Carnivore?

Consider this!

I started at an average weight of 225lbs. The past few weeks I got down to about 180lbs. Again, its not about the weight. Its about how I feel. It is wild to think about how much the carbs and refined sugar meals/snack plumped me up. Even my face looks totally different now. Its a very big difference, the 45 lbs.

Going from the KING OF SUGAR AND CARBS at 225lbs to this new "Hard Core Carnivore" at a weight I last weighed in grade 11, I definitely did a "Carb Step Down" approach.

I recommend you do it as well. Here is a link to best practices in making a switch.

Ok folks! I will end this chat here today. Be on the lookout! My future blogs will be more about my personal status and updates, success stories of people who have done or do Carnivore, and putting fallacies to sleep using peer reviewed studies and more important real cases with real people. I totally understand how alien the Carnivore choice sounds, but hang in there. It will all make sense soon!

Have a fantastic day!

Bonus: here is a video we did with Chef D, it makes me hungry! haha

Disclosure: This blog is simply my own experience and opinions. I am not a doctor, nutritionist or hold a degree in anything related to biology/health sciences. I'm simply an objective learner who thinks critically, has great professional resources, and is EXTREMELY hypersensitive to my body and how it responds to certain foods/beverages. Also, The fact that I'm using Nutrafarms platforms to share this experience, my beneficial claims from Nutrafarms products are my own and not Nutrafarms claims. Industry opinions are also my own opinion and not a reflection of how Nutrafarms stands.  Nutrafarms was a no brainer for carnivore to me as I have been on these farms many times, I personally know the farmers and have been working with them for the past decade. I appreciate everything they do to be "different".
